Q. Who is ReRetail?
A. ReRetail Limited is located just outside Dorchester in Dorset. We help you sell your unwanted items on eBay. We also use eBay to provide a full outsourcing service to businesses, dealers and manufacturers who wish to sell excess inventory or returned items but do not have the time or manpower to do so.
Items for sale are delivered to our warehouse, or collected by us, and we do the rest (research, photography, liaising with buyers, shipping, logistics, customer service and settlement) - this means great prices, no hassle and complete confidentiality.
Q. Why use ReRetail?
A. Convienience - With a range of options for getting your items to us – either by dropping them off at our warehouse or using our collection service, plus the fact that we handle the entire sales process (research, listing, photography, liaising with buyers, shipping, logistics, customer service, and settlement) - this means great prices, no hassle and complete confidentiality – all you have to do is wait for the cheque!
Q. Can you collect my items and what are the charges?
A. Yes we can! - Costs for collection depend upon where you are, the size of the consignment, and how many people are needed. Usually most collections within a 10 mile radius of ReRetail warehouse are free.
Q. What does ReRetail do with each item?
A. Once we have the items, we will research value, photograph them and prepare the listings (noting any special features you may wish to highlight). This can take up to 5 days.
When the listings are live, we send you an email with a link to the page in eBay so that you can follow the bidding. Much of the bidding happens at the last minute on eBay, so please don't be disheartened if it looks as though everything is going slowly in the early stages!
Once the auctions are closed, we'll send you an update with prices achieved, and then we'll be doing the hard work of chasing the buyers for payment and making sure they receive the items.
The purchaser has a week to pay and another week to return the goods if they're not satisfied. If anything is unsold, we can either re-run the auction or return the item to you.
Finally, we will send you a detailed breakdown of prices and our fees and a cheque for the balance in the post.
Q. When Will I Get Paid?
A. You get paid by cheque within two weeks of us receiving cleared funds from the buyer, i.e. after the items have been sold, the return period is closed and each item in a batch is complete, (on average this is usually 6-8 weeks after receipt of your items). It can take longer for complex batches or items with reserves or returns. To prevent fraud ReRetail will only pay you by cheque and all cheques must be posted to your registered address.
Q. Which items are best to sell through ReRetail?
A. Bearing in mind that there are over 50,000 eBay categories, almost any item can be sold, as long as it is not prohibited by eBay (or illegal).
We are happy to consider whatever you have. If we believe that the item or collection of items are worth more than £50 (re-sale value) we will usually sell it for you.
Q. Why do you say that the item should have a mimimum re-sale value of £50, when your eBay listing has items with a much lower value?
A. As eBay is principally an auction, we usually start items at a low value to encourage bids, sometimes we have a bundle of items that we feel may achieve a better price by listing individually or sometimes we have a large number of the same item which we list as "buy it now" and so are able to sell many items from the one listing.
Generally, we use our experience and a variety of methods to get you the best price for your item, but to make it worthwhile for you and for us, unfortunately we need to draw the line somewhere and we feel that £50 gives that balance.
Q. What does ReRetail charge for its service?

Q. What is the relationship between ReRetail and eBay?
A. ReRetail have a good working relationship with eBay and we use eBay as our preferred platform. ReRetail is not owned by, or otherwise associated, or connected with eBay.
