The ReRetail Dropshop was the idea of Katie and Matt both of whom are local university graduates who found that life as a "non-student" was even tougher than as a student. They had both used eBay to help fund themselves through university and they often found themselves helping friends buying and selling. After university, unable to find suitable employment they decided to try to use their eBay experience once more.

They knew that the worst parts of selling on eBay was the hassle of taking photos, composing listings, uploading it onto the eBay website, dealing with all the emails from prospective buyers and, the biggest hassle of all, packaging and despatching. They were aware of the existance of eBay Trading Assistants and eBay Dropshops but none in their hometowns of Weymouth or Dorchester.

So, early in 2010, they started ReRetail. The idea was to offer a fast and friendly service at competitive rates to both individuals and businesses (and special rates to charities and charitable organisations) but with a strong social and environmental conscience.

Both Matt and Katie are both very concerned about environmental issues, believe in the "green" mantra of ReUse, ReCycle and Reduce and try at ReRetail to put this philosophy into practice. Inaddition to helping people in the Dorchester and Weymouth area to Re-Use goods, wherever they can, they ReCycle and attempt to minimise waste. Currently they are exploring feasibility of greener, more environmentally friendly alternatives for packaging, solar power for lighting and computers in the office and even a greener collection vehicle.

ReRetail is now a "Top Rated Seller" with 100% positive feedback, is registered with eBay as a Trading Assistant and a Business Seller and has achieved "Power Seller" status.
